Conduct Mock Interviews

Nakisha Midder (North Carolina A&T University) suggests conducting as many mock interviews as possible in order to get comfortable with your responses and the question-and-answer structure of an interview. Ra’Dricka Ford (University of Oklahoma) also recommends that you schedule time with your coach, a relative in your field, professor or career services representative to conduct a mock interview. Your interviewer should ask you general interview questions and provide you with feedback on your answer to each based on its relevance to the question, quality and impact on the interviewer’s decision to hire you.
