Jonathan Harris from Princeton University says a caveat about networking is that it can never be at the expense of your work!! Even if you meet a great number of professionals at your company and make a good impression on them, if your performance during the summer is below par or the quality of your work hasn’t been stellar, those professionals have nothing to champion.
