SchrautChris Ndikumana of Boston College states: getting to know your fellow interns and peers will allow you to learn about their experiences in the company and their particular division. Pichon Duplan of Babson College says: Reaching out to your peers can be very beneficial to your success during an internship. These are the individuals you can get advice about the culture, and even the way to interact with certain employees in the firm to get the assignments done in the fashion your superiors would expect. Ricardo Creighton of Northwestern University writes: build friendships and catch up after work etc. (remember to always keep it professional) and always be sure to help them when you can if they seek your help. You can now leverage that relationship so if you need a second opinion on a project or help figuring something out you can always seek their advice. Stephanie Epps of Stanford University adds: it's important to go out of your way to try to meet and if possible establish personal relationships with these people. If you have already conquered your division, ask your manager if you can do a rotational program of other close/related divisions to establish more networking relationships and scope out other places in the organization to work when you get the offer.
