Let Your Strengths be Your Guide

We often focus on what we cannot do or what we do not do well. CP fellow Brittany Mosely of Harvard College says “Work from your strengths. Compile a list of your strengths and weaknesses. Next, look at your strongest area and your weakest area and understand the connection between them. How can your strongest areas be used to improve a single weakness?”

“Face your fears/weaknesses and they will soon not be intimidating.” Noel Flores (Wesleyan University ) “Quit avoiding it and just do it! For instance, if your fear is public speaking challenge yourself to do it both inside and outside of work. Start off by working on your weakness outside of work; maybe build up confidence at a karaoke bar. After a while of doing this you'll find you have less anxiety.” Justin Biggs ( University of Pennsylvania)
