Think through the implications and what the fall out could be if you decide to move forward and report an incident. Oftentimes, people get a little too comfortable and say things they later wish they hadn’t said. Avoid discussing the incident with other coworkers. Extend a little grace and attribute their actions to misinformation or stupidity, but don’t let it derail you. Continue to interact professionally with this individual. If you avoid them in the future, that action can server to further complicate matters. Call your Coach!
