Asking for Feedback

Processing feedback- Manuel Rincon-Cruz from Harvard says it is critical that you really take the time to process feedback- as sometimes simply-worded feedback is a way of summarizing a complex pattern of behavior. Reflect on all the ways it can be construed and all the ways in which it applies to your endeavors. Samuel Rugunda adds do not try and defend/make excuses for yourself as this may agitate whoever is giving you the feedback. Andrea Campos from MIT recommends at the end of every week you reflect on how you can improve your performance on the job. Write it down and act on it the following week. Rosilia Montalvo from Stonehill College adds feedback is the route to knowing your strengths and weaknesses- and as the internship progresses or as you begin a new one, you can improve on the latter.
