“ How do I go about scheduling feedback sessions with senior level members of my corporation? What do I do if I am unable to obtain feedback?” asks Jose Garcia, University of Texas and Daniela Ortiz, Seton Hall
Feedback can be obtained both formally and informally. There are times when you can poke your head in someone’s office and ask if they have a minute or you can get on their schedule for a specific time. Choose regular intervals to meet with your superiors and use that opportunity to update them on what you have been working on and ask for their input. You want to know if your project met expectations and requirements. To keep the conversation flowing, you might inquire how your project fits into the bigger picture or if the project is moving on to the next phase and what that phase entails. You can obtain feedback without using the word “feedback” You can meet with your manager and asks questions when you reach a critical point in your project. In asking questions for clarity, you can discuss your to-date findings and gain insight on how to proceed.
